Patience and caring

In the lady of shalott throughout all of this story i think there are very different concepts that can be related to patience and caring in an opposite way and also in a similar way but for me there is not a specific part of the story where you can find in a particular way the value of patience or caring, through the story you can clearly see how one of the main characters that is the duke speaks of his duchess with a type of admiration leading more to obsession than to love, and that is the problem that sometimes you can confuse love with obsession that can take you to opposite values as it is envy, selfish and others, i could not find caring in this story, why? Because when you care for pther person you truly mean it from your feelings and show it in actions more than words and in no mkment of the story i read or in my point of view saw him in a position of caring for his wife or for her life, on the lther side i saw how at hte end it is supposed that he killed her, sochow can yoh explain that someone who cares and is patent for someones love is going to kill her or in ay other situation even think of hurting her/him, none that is the real answer there is no way you will hurt someone you care for on purpose, there is no way you will let your impultions of ennvy make you do stuff to hurt those people and even though he described her as a beautiful woman it does not means that he cares for her, in my point of view he was majorly a man who was selfish and wanted to act in a manly way always he did not wanted people to see him as a naive man or more important he did not wanted to see himself without power and mainly without power over women, that is not what patience means because he did not felt love or real pure love for her but his desire of power went over anything and everything making this values not matter at all incthe story.
